yard sale!

i love yard sales! (and hand-me-downs and dumpster diving, lol!) i drove past a yard full of furniture this morning and couldn't help myself: i hung a u turn and went back. now, i need more furniture like i need a new hole in my head. sadly, that doesn't seem to stop me - much to dh's great annoyance! but this guy had the best prices!! i got a wicker chair that was originally around $100 at pier one for $7 - with the cushion! i've always wanted wicker patio furnitue, but could never afford any. and the cushions are usually separate and cost another small fortune. he also had some great benches with upholstered cushions, like you might put at the foot of your bed, for only $5!!! i couldn't pass it up, so i bought one of those, too. i have no idea where i'll put it. do you think i can hide the bench from dh? it takes up the whole back seat of my car, lol!

i see i've been ratted out to my pinkie chums, lol! now don't go getting your hopes up, i have no illusions about posting frequently on here. i think this will be more of a place for people to leave notes when i leave comments on their blogs. think of it like voice mail: not much in the way of an outgoing message, but plenty of room for people to leave messages.
